Most of us spend more or less eight hours in front of a laptop or computer every single day. We become so focused on our work that we tend to forget about correct posture. When we sit with incorrect posture, we may end up with neck pain, back pain, knee pain or pins and needles in the hands and fingers. Below are some useful tips on how to improve your posture and make life a little more comfortable....

1. Make sure that you SIT UP STRAIGHT... You will need to push your hips back as far as possible in the chair. Look at your feet... are they touching the ground? If not, adjust the height of the chair until your feet can be placed flat on the ground. Your knees will either be in line, or slightly lower than your hips. Rest your back against the chair... is your upper and lower back supported? If not, adjust the back of the chair to a 100º - 110º angle. If your lower back is not supported, insert an inflatable lumbar support or a small cushion. Adjust the height of the armrests so that the elbow makes a 90º angle when the arms are relaxed.
